The earth is the Lord’s, everything it contains,
the world and all who live therein.
For he has established the earth on the seas
and founded land on the waters.
Who shall ascend the hill of the Lord,
or stand in the Holy Place of our God?
Those with clean hands and pure hearts
who have not given their souls to idols or falsehood
shall receive the blessing of their saviour Lord.
Such are the lives who seek your face, O God of Jacob.

So lift up your heads, lift your heads, O ye gates;
be lifted up you ancient doors.
Consider the one who approaches your gates;
the King of Glory shall enter!
Who is this King of Glory so bright?
The Lord strong in battle, power and might,
he is the King and the Lord of Lords!
So lift up your heads, you gates and you doors;
the Lord of Hosts, the King of Glory enters in!
