Gabriel the Angel

Gabriel the angel came to Mary.
He told her God has sent him, that she was the chosen one.
She would have a son and call him Jesus
That through his birth the word of God and kingdom now would come.

Praise God He sent His only son
To this poor world, by sin undone.
Praise God He gave His only son
He conquer’d sin, the victory’s won.

Mary trusted the word of Gabriel the angel.
Betrothed she was to Joseph yet gave birth to God’s own son.
Bethlehem in Judah was the city
The prophets said would be the place where Christ, God’s son was born.

Shepherds came to greet the new-born Saviour,
And wise men came to worship Him the Prince of Peace now born.
Come like them and know there is no other
For us he lived and died and rose again and He is Lord!
