Glory be to God in the highest
And peace on earth good will toward men
For unto us is born a saviour
Who is Christ the Lord.

We travelled on all alone, we couldn’t refuse the light that shone out.
Whose is that star pointing us far beyond horizons we’ve known to Bethlehem?
O Bethlehem, who is your king? Why do angels sing their praise to the “Ancient of Days”?

We travelled to Jerusalem, the crowd sang their praise to David’s Son.
But whose is that cross there on the hill and why must Jesus be killed? Jerusalem,
Jerusalem, if only you knew God had come to you; but now you’ve closed your eyes and mind to Him.

This Word we’ve heard and seen with our eyes, and touched with our hands sustains all lives:
The Light of the World, and we saw His glory – God’s own glory revealed. Immanuel.
Immanuel, come take your throne, make in us your home and bring your peace and perfect liberty.

This is the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Praise to Christ our Lord.
Thanks be to God.
